YOU GOT THE POWER: BE POSITIVE, BE FIT! – Alberici Sisters

When my sister, Linda Eichberg, and I performed with Dean Martin in his later years, he jokingly said, “If I knew I was going to live this long I would have taken better care of myself.” This is no joke! Because of medical breakthroughs, the Baby Boomers are living longer and wanting a better quality of life. We know from experience that exercise is the ‘Fountain of Youth.’

Today women wear more than one hat or one pair of shoes, encompassing the roles of mom, wife, grandmother, aunt, sister, and girlfriend, thriving in business too! As businesswomen, my sister Linda and I work as entertainers, and authors and are certified in the field of fitness. At the upcoming DESERT WOMAN’S SHOW (November 17 & 18), we’ll be celebrating the many ways women can help themselves flourish during our lecture, YOU GOT THE POWER: BE POSITIVE – BE FIT. My sister and I will also be signing our book, ‘Beyond Our Wildest Dreams.’

This “GIRL’S DAY OUT” weekend will feature fashion shows, a variety of food and so much more!  Our long-time friend, TV host, and President of Palm Springs Women in Film and Television, Patti Gribow will also lend her expertise at this event. Patti will be interviewing WOMAN IN FILM, WOMAN OF INFLUENCE, and other notables including, Andrew Ordon M.D., F.A.C.S., Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon of CBS- TV, THE DOCTORS. This two-day event will benefit a variety of charities in the Palm Desert area.

Some of the LECTURE topics we (Alberici Sisters) will be discussing:

Studies show…“Aerobic activity prevents inflammation around your heart and increases ‘good’ cholesterol.” – 2007 study published in the Journal of Internal Medicine

TAI CHI movements are AEROBIC. “Aerobic” means, in the state of oxygen. This practice is also called, “meditation in movement.”

Evidence suggests… Tai Chi may offer numerous benefits beyond stress reduction, including reducing anxiety, depression, and falls in older adults, improving balance, flexibility, muscle strength, sleep quality, cardiovascular fitness, overall feelings of well-being, lowering blood pressure, and relieving chronic pain.
