The Scary Truth…
The scary truth is I have lots of weak moments but I have lots of powerful moments too. The scary truth is I am somewhat of a misfit but I am proud of that fact too. I have inner strength knowing that I am a survivor of bullying. I am grateful that I have endured and I can say the words, ‘You Got The Power’ to an almighty ‘Power’ that hears me.
“For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.” – 2 Timothy 1:7
We are all connected to the Power Source and can live a powerful life.
When Lightning Strikes…
When the energy around us becomes dangerous and strikes us down like lightning, that’s the time to rest in the ‘Power’ within us and see the Light shining in the darkness. Friends and family can help too.
When things get turned around…
When things get turned around, that’s the time for me to aim for the Power Source that takes care of each one of us, the planet and the universe.
It is written that God spoke to Moses within the burning bush to give him the Ten Commandments and said, “I am that I am.” I think ‘that’ could be you, me and all of creation.
In 2009, I started Your Powerful Life blog to keep in touch with a group of my dear exercise participants/friends that I had been teaching. I was being transferred to another location and blogging was a way for me to continue to share fitness, my adventures as an entertainer and the completion of the book that I was writing with my sister (Alberici Sisters) called, Beyond Our Wildest Dreams.
Writing the book made me delve into my past and find my voice there. Even though the book was about a glamorous time performing with celebrity icons, I felt the need to express my present. Blogging was also a way for me to process, own, write, experience and revisit the moments in my life that were happening now. This monthly logging account kept me current.
P – Process it.
Begin the action of discovery, researching, examining and sharing from your heart.
O – Own it.
Open up and acknowledge your physical, mental and spiritual connection to pop culture, past culture and life’s experiences.
W – Write it.
Welcome the presence of the ‘Power’ to speak through your higher-self and the universal intelligence.
E – Experience it.
Better understand your journey and edit when necessary to establish your truth.
R – Revisit it.
Reliving past moments can give you a new perception to the present.
When the scary truth shows it’s ugly face, I try to remember the secret and that keeps me positive! 😉
