We always learn something from our relationships but sometimes life takes us in separate directions. Sometimes there is friction. In order to thrive, sometimes we need to just be, remember the good and move forward.
The haunting words, “Let It Be” can show the way to wisdom and hope in a toxic situation or relationship. In times of trouble, my personal prayerful message is, “Let it be, be with me.” “Me” meaning the love and living spirit of Christ.

The Beatles music left a mark on the history of our lives. I wonder if four teenage boys, who enjoyed making music together, perceived the notion that they would spend decades collaborating and performing together? Their songs live on even after their break-up.

The World Mourns the musician, Prince
As the world mourns the musician, Prince, I wondered: Why do celebrity musicians like The Beatles and Prince touch us and arouse our curiosity? In retrospect, a song’s melody can effect our essence, the lyrics can speak to us while the rhythm can embody us as we go through life’s challenges, joys and sorrows.

Prince explains the meaning of “Purple Rain”: “When there’s blood in the sky – red and blue= purple… purple rain pertains to the end of the world and being with the one you love and letting your faith/God guide you through the purple rain.”
